Business After 5 is a monthly event held by the Chamber of Commerce at different Chamber businesses. This event is a great way to network with fellow community members and enjoy a fun night with food and drinks provided! This month we are recognizing Scott LaBonte! Scott joined the Ambassador club in 2023 and has been very involved with our Chamber and its events ever since!

Here's a little more about Scott:
"I am truly honored to be selected as Ambassador of the Month. I’ve proudly called Sault Ste. Marie home since 1995, attending Lake Superior State University, working for the City of Sault Ste. Marie, and now serving as General Manager of Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours. I’m proud to help showcase the history and beauty of our community and have truly enjoyed being an Ambassador and part of such a great team at Famous.
My family is a big part of what I do, and we’re proud that all of us are involved at Famous. My wife, Jen, works for Community Action and manages social media for Famous. Our daughters—Madison (Lake Superior State University, Nursing), Hallie (Grand Valley State University, Speech Pathology), and Avery (Sault High School)—all work at Famous and help create great experiences for our guests.
Being part of this community and promoting all that Sault Ste. Marie has to offer is something I truly value."

Leadership Program
The Sault Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program is designed to bring a group of diverse individuals together to undergo a series of educational sessions where they will become knowledgeable on topics that impact and define our community. These individuals are recognized as potential leaders in the community and will be equipped with information, resources and relationships to help shape the future of the Sault Ste. Marie area. Applicants will be selected on the basis of community involvement, career background, work experience, motivation, attitude and leadership potential.
